Seriously, this boy. I’m not sure if he can get any more cute. The memory of this picture helped in more ways than one when he was at his height of naughtiness during the lunch hour. Look kid, you might be throwing your soup contents at your sister every time you think I’m not looking, and you might be sneaking under the bench to play with the dog when you think I’m unaware, and you might be bursting into tears each time I hold your chin in my hands to get your eyes on mine–look at my eyes and listen to my words–but this picture hangs in my mind and saves the realest you from the fate of being forgotten. In the midst of the strife, you are more than your naughty behavior; you are frogs and snails and puppy dog tails and glee and courage and heart.
