Matthew 6:25, A Poem (survivor songs #14)

Matthew 6:25

Listen, Beloved

Let go

of your

desperation

stop

scrambling

and

flow-with-me

I AM

your food

your drink

your

skin-and-bones

I AM

what-who-that-which

gives

you

your

substance-sustenance-EVERYTHING

your

next

breath

comes-from-me

you.aren’t.in.control.of.anything!

the birds know

their lives are

at-my-mercy

and so

they

wake

up

singing for joy

and fly

free

in the wind.

wake-up-singing

to me

Beloved

wake up

to ME.

About The Author:

Laura Camacho is my heart-friend, the goer-with-me on all of my journeys. She sent this poem to me on a morning in which I thought, I have no time to write, saying, “here’s a poem, use it if you want for your series!” I loved it, and I am.
