Brave

1-HAMMOND ELEMENTARY SUPPORTING BREAST CANCER AWARENESSSee the beautiful woman front and center, seated with legs crossed?  That’s my mama.  She was surprised by her colleagues last week with a show of support for her current battle with breast cancer.  A woman strong in faith who carries most burdens quietly, it has been a joy to see not only the courageous way in which she has faced cancer, but also the courageous way in which she has let others come alongside her in her journey.  I love you, Mama!

And, as an aside, tonight we are up late with an army of puking kids.  (Which makes me think of this post, and this!)  So if you are reading this, pray for us.

(Day 26 of the Writing Challenge; where I’m “Just Writing” daily for 31 days.)
