*** Edit 2018: I am not doing any newsletters at this time, but blog posts do go out to readers who subscribe to those. If you subscribe to newsletters, you will be the first to know when that feature starts back up. Thank you for understanding! I’m so glad you’re here. ***

Newsletter Descriptions:
Community Newsletter
I would love to stay connected with you, and this is one way I try to say thank you for the time you invest in my words (for which I am very grateful). Newsletters aren’t my thing, and I hate marketing, so this really is just a tool to maintain connection and give back to you if YOU are the type of person who loves this kind of thing. 🙂
Wide Room Ambler
(a Charlotte Mason themed homeschooling journal)
History must afford its pageants, science its wonders, literature its intimacies, philosophy its speculations, religion its assurances to every man, and his education must have prepared him for wanderings in these realms of gold. – Charlotte Mason
Though the newsletter is rare, if you sign up for the Ambler you will also receive all my homeschool-themed posts. I collect my homeschool-y thoughts at a second website, WideRoom.org. So a subscription to this newsletter is a subscription to Wide Room as well. Wide Room is my favorite way to share with you resources, ideas and encouragement!
Thoughts from my original description of this newsletter… I don’t have this schooling thing all figured out. Some days (or weeks, or months) I love it, and other times I show up each morning out of sheer habit, discipline, and small fear of my kids turning into hooligans. But eight years of practicing the habit of home education has produced a rhythm in our home that is overarchingly life-giving, and it is the bits of beauty and wisdom and vitality that I wish to pass on through this homeschooling journal.
Survivor Songs
(specifically for survivors of sexual abuse and those who love them)
Survivor Songs began as a project to write out the healing God has worked (and is working) in my life. Initially I envisioned a series that was theme-specific to sexual abuse, but the project grew to encompass many other facets of the Spirit’s ministry to Survivors of all kinds.
Please subscribe to this list if you want to receive future survivor-themed writings geared both to survivors and those who love them. I am not currently sending out a Survivor Songs Newsletter, but I hope to return to it soon. In the mean time, may all the posts collected under the Survivor Songs heading be a conduit of the Breath of Life and Healing to you!
